Vance Syphers | President
With over 40 years in the financial services industry, Vance Syphers’ experience encompasses the spectrum of expertise, ranging from estate and tax planning to venture capital financing and asset protection. He uses this depth of knowledge to focus on advising high income and high net worth individuals.
In the early 1970s, Vance founded a regional broker dealer and registered investment advisory firm devoted to serving high-income clients, which grew to 69 registered representatives located throughout England. He was responsible for providing investor equity for several hotels, oil and gas partnerships, equipment leasing transactions, and numerous real estate and venture capital partnerships, which he structured. Vance remained a principle until the broker dealer was sold in 1988.
In 2003, the IRS provided clear guidance regarding the use of 831(b) captive insurance companies for small to medium size companies to improve risk management. As a result, Vance began facilitating the organization of captives for his clients, forming CIC Management, Ltd. in 2006 to provide a turnkey service for clients desiring to use a captive strategy. Since 2006, Mr. Syphers has been responsible for the formation of captives with total annual premiums in excess of $400 million.
Mr. Syphers has also been published in numerous medical journals, including Dermatology Times, General Surgery News and Urology Times, and spoken to physician groups throughout the Southeast and Midwest including the National Association of Independent Physicians (TIPAAA) Annual Conference in Chicago as well as the National Association of Auto Team America held in Chicago.
In addition to his role as President of CIC Management, Mr. Syphers is also the founder and Managing Director of Quantum Capital, LLC. Quantum Capital, LLC is a FINRA Member Broker Dealer that specializes in identifying and structuring sophisticated alternative investment vehicles for high net worth and high-income clients. These two organizations provide a wide range of investment options and flexibility for our captive clients’ portfolios.
Mr. Syphers also serves on the board of 5 companies he has been involved in creating as well as The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Advisory Board of the Triangle Region.
